Apabila pernyataan dinyatakan sebelum auditor mereview bukti audit dan preferensi yang diperoleh dari klien yang kurang dipercaya kredibilitasnya maka pertimbangan auditor akan buruk. Kredibilitas klien mempengaruhi evaluasi terhadap bukti yang ada. Kredibilitas dioperasionalisasikan sebagai bentuk kompetensi atau kecakapan. Auditor akan terbujuk dengan adanya kredibilitas dari klien yang menyatakan preferensinya. Sumber yang memiliki kredibilitas tinggi akan lebih dipercaya auditor. Judgment yang saya buat akan baik ketika kredibilitas klien tersebut tinggi. Kredibilitas klien diukur dengan tinggi rendahnya keahlian dan kelayakan sumber untuk dipercaya dalam menyampaikan informasi. Saya akan mencegah akuntan klien mencatat informasi sampel pengujian mengenai perhitungan fisik persediaan.
