Het ontwikkelen van hoogwaardige zonnecellen door het gebruik van filmlaagjes van (kostbaar) Gallium Arsenide. Het eindresultaat zijn efficient geproduceerde dunne film zonnecellen met een rendement van 40%.
Een van de kostbare wafer (links) gesepareerde en op plastic folie overgeplaatste device film (rechts). De wafer is klaar voor hergebruik.
Dunne-film concentrator zonnecellen op koperfolie (links) en na montage van een individuele cel op een warmtegeleidende chip carrier (rechts). Bij een concentratiefactor 2500 genereert deze cel een stroom van 10 Ampere.
